Junichi Iwata. Genes and non-coding RNAs associated with craniofacial birth defects

The etiology of craniofacial birth defects is complicated with the involvement of a variety of genetic and environmental factors. Our study aims to identify genes and non-coding RNAs which are associated with craniofacial birth defects and influenced by environmental factors. The results of this study will facilitate our understanding of the role of non-coding RNAs in craniofacial development and will enable us to design future diagnostic tools and therapeutic interventions to prevent craniofacial birth defects.
