Regional Ecosystems (Pre-Clearing) in the Brisbane City Council area.Regional ecosystems (RE's) are vegetation communities in a bioregion that are consistently associated with a particular combination of geology, landform and soil (Sattler and Williams 1999, Vegetation Management Act 1999).Pre-clearing identifies the original extent of vegetation communities before anthropogenic clearing occurred. The pre-clearing map classifies vegetation communities into regional ecosystems as per the regional ecosystems descriptions database (REDD), using the Methodology for Survey and Mapping of Regional Ecosystems and Vegetation Communities in Queensland.
