Busselton and Dunsborough - Western Ringtail Possum Urban Habitat Project

The Western Ringtail Action Group will undertake this project with the sponsorship of Geographe Catchment Council Incorporated. This project will engage the urban communities of Dunsborough and Busselton in protecting the critical habitat and urban populations of the threatened Western Ringtail Possum on school grounds and City reserves through awareness raising activities, on-ground actions and citizen science. Habitat linkages and priority mature trees will be identified for community protection and/or replanting. School students will participate in tree planting and possum surveys/counts and a whole of community possum count event will be held to provide much needed data.
