BTPDs, Females, Weanlings vs yearlings in single year, Summaries, revised on 17 April 2026 OLD File name: Fig 13.11. BTPDs, Females, Weanlings vs yearlings in single year, 26 Feb 2025, Summaries Weanling = offspring that emerged from natal nursery-burrow Yearling = weanling that survived for >=9 months after first emergence from natal nursery-burrow Numbers shown for yearlings are Means + one Standard Error (SEM) This file includes only females that weaned at least one offspring. The number above each SEM in Fig 13.11 line indicates the number of females for which I have data. I considered data from the same female in different years to be independent. These data used for Figure 13.11 in Hoogland 2026. This file ready for longterm storage on 26 Feb 2025. Standard errors were usually small, because my sample sizes for each age were large. In some cases, I have shown SEM = 0.2 for numbers of sexual partners, weanlings, or yearlings to show small SEMs that extend slightly beyond the circles— because showing slightly inflated SEMs is better than suggesting no variation at all, in my opinion. I checked the information in this EXCEL file TWO TIMES at creation. On 27 March 2025. The number above each SEM in Fig 13.11 line indicates the number of females for which I have data. I considered data from the same female in different years to be independent. File name: Fig 13.11. BTPDs, Females, Weanlings vs yearlings in single year, 26 Feb 2025, Summaries, revised on 17 April 2026 Notes about this file: (1) No data from weanlings from 1988, because 1988 was my last year of research at Rankin Ridge (2) Jim Loughry worked at Rankin Ridge in 1989, but this file does NOT contain information on yearlings from Jim Loughry (3) Fig 13.11 is IDENTICAL to Fig 12.7b for black-tails in Hoogland 1995. (4) For Fig 12.7b in Hoogland 1995, evidently I deleted a few cases that were ambiguous for some reason. File name: Fig 13.11.
