We used the criteria of the National Institute on Aging and the Alzheimer Association for AD diagnosis. Blood samples were collected from AD patients and healthy controls. And peripheral blood mononuclear cells were isolated with Ficoll Paque. To investigate the specific relationship between peripheral inflammation activation and AD, we investigated gene transcriptome changes in PBMCs between patients with AD and healthy controls, by performing RNA sequencing analysis.
