Facility landscapes complement nighttime lights in predicting household income but not aggregate economic output

This repository contains the data and code associated with the study “Facility landscapes complement nighttime lights for household income but not aggregate economic output.” The dataset supports county-level economic measurement across China by integrating multidimensional nighttime light (NTL) features and facility landscape features derived from points of interest (POIs). The repository includes the data used for model development and evaluation, processed NTL and facility features, county-level economic indicators, source data underlying the main and supplementary figures, and the code used for data analysis, predictive modeling, model evaluation, and interpretation. These materials are provided to support transparency and reproducibility of the analyses reported in the study.
