Radon – National Lithological Scheme – View Service

The resource describes the mapping of lithotypes emerging in the Italian territory on the vector basis of the Italian Litological Charter at scale 1:100.000. It has been included in the appendix to the National Action Plan for Radon (Action 1.2) in implementation of Legislative Decree No.101 of 31/07/2020.The legend of the resource is structured according to 9 groups of main types of outcrop rocks on the Italian territory: lithoid sedimentary and dissolved; effusive and intrusive; metamorphic; peculiarities such as mining and anthropogenic sites.The data source of the resource is the geological map of Italy at 1:100.000 scale whose polygons have been reclassified according to the lithotechnical characteristics contained in the legend.
