Here, the data used in paper “Quantifying cumulative heat effects on heat-related mortality using MODIS land surface temperature data” were given. This database contains all-cause mortality data from Eurostat (includes different ages and genders, folder \"Weekly all-cause mortality data\"), weekly maximum MODIS surface temperature data (includes daytime and nighttime, folder \"MODIS LST\"), and weekly maximum ERA5 Land temperature data (includes daytime and nighttime, folder \"ERA5-Land temperature\") for 122 cities in Europe.
