Spectrum Compatible Ground Motion Database

A spectrum-compatible ground motion database has been developed for 269 Indian cities, comprising 11 horizontal ground motion pairs for each location. These ground motions have been modified to match the Uniform Hazard Spectrum (UHS) corresponding to a return period of 2,475 years, derived from site-specific Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Analysis (PSHA) using a logic tree framework. The PSHA was conducted at the B–C boundary condition of the NEHRP site classification, corresponding to a shear wave velocity (Vs30) of 760 m/s.
