资源简介:
Sanples from eroding and e^^xDsed features at the Broken Blade Wickiup Village (Site 5RB3182) in northwestern Colorado were examined for pollen and macrofloral remains. The site consists of multiple concentrations of firecracked rock, ash-stained hearths, modified tools scattered on the surface, and the remains of a Ute wickiup and exterior work area. A large number of bison bones were found, suggesting that bison hunting may have been the main activity at this site. The site appears to be a multicarponent Ute/Numic site, with radiocarbon dates ranging from 1210 to 1540 AD. Pollen and macrofloral analyses will be used to provide information on subsistence, including possible cultigens and native plants utilized, as well as environmental information.
