资源简介:

Cryogenic fluid hammer experiments have been performed at the Fluid Transient Fest Facility (FTTF) at the Institute of Space Propulsion of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Lampoldshausen. A pressure surge is created by using a fast closing valve to stop a stationary flow of liquid nitrogen in a pipeline. The pressure wave is then travelling back and forth between the valve and a reservoir upstream of the pipe. Due to the high amplitude of this pressure wave, the pressure drops below the vapor pressure, causing cavitation near the valve. The dataset includes 9 test cases across a wide range of pressure and flow velocity. At maximum, a flow velocity of 13 m/s results in a pressure surge amplitude exceeding 100 bar. It also features high-frequency pressure sensors, providing detailed insights into the phenomenon.
