WDCA Aerosol Data Archive

The World Data Centre for Aerosols is one of five recognized World Data Centers which are part of the Global Atmosphere Watch (GAW) program of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). The WDCA is operated by the Climate Change Unit of the Institute for Environment and Sustainability of the Joint Research Center of the European Commission and is located in Ispra Italy. Data are available for Aerosol Optical Depth, Light scattering and backscattering, chemistry, light absorption, condensation nuclei concentration, cloud condensation nuclei concentration and aerosol size distributions. The WDCA uses the NARSTO data exchange standard (DES) format for both submission and retrieval of data.
