This dataset is developed by collecting and analyzing intellectual property (IP)-related data of ABS products in Huangyan. The data is aggregated by patent assignees to count the total number of patents and patent portfolio layout of enterprises and individuals involved in ABS products, as well as the existing patent distribution data of Huangyan ABS products. By clarifying the general patent status of enterprises and individuals in this sector, the quantity and proportion of different types of IP assets are calculated, to provide guidance for enterprises engaged in R&D and production of Huangyan ABS products for IP strategy formulation and patent application.

1. Data Collection: Relevant information on granted and pending invention patents, utility model patents, and design patents related to Huangyan ABS products is retrieved from third-party IP search platforms based on criteria including region, IPC classification numbers of patents, patent titles, and keywords, and then collected.
2. Data Processing: Clean the collected raw data by removing duplicate records and entries with missing values, and conduct data classification.
3. Data Calculation: Aggregate the collected data by patent assignees. Count the total number of patents held by each assignee and the overall total number of patents for Huangyan ABS products, as well as the quantity of each patent type. The proportions of each patent type are calculated as: Proportion of Invention Patents = Number of Invention Patents / Total Patent Count; Proportion of Utility Model Patents = Number of Utility Model Patents / Total Patent Count; Proportion of Design Patents = Number of Design Patents / Total Patent Count.
4. Data Application: Compare the proportion of each patent type owned by an enterprise with the overall proportion of corresponding patent types in the Huangyan ABS product sector to assess the enterprise's patent portfolio layout. Provide targeted guidance for enterprises of different scales to formulate IP strategies and patent application plans, and assist them in rationally arranging their patent portfolios.
