The dataset consists of noise, linearity data and processing method and code. Besides, it includes data of detector tests. The details are as follows:(A) noise_data: The Fig8 and Fig 9 of the paper entitled 'Design and Development of Multi-channel Front End Electronics Based on Dual-Polarity Charge-to-Digital Converter for SiPM Detector Applications' are generated from these noise data, the details are as follows:1. The noise data are measured via Tek oscilloscope, dataformat are saved as csv files. In each file, there are totally 100000 sample point. In the data file, there are 64 csv files, corresponding to 64 channel. In histograms, only 8000 point are used. 2. Tek_noise.c plots the noise spectrum in one channel, which can be run in a root eviroment.3. Tek_noise_64x.c plots noise spectra in all channels and also draw a error histogram showing the noise spectrum distribution.(B) linearity_data: Fig.11 and Fig.12 of the paper entitled 'Design and Development of Multi-channel Front End Electronics Based on Dual-Polarity Charge-to-Digital Converter for SiPM Detector Applications' are generated from the linearity data in the files, which are detailed as follows: 1. data generation: charge source consists of pulser and charge distrution board (Fig. 6). The pulse generator was controlled to provide a pulse amplitude of 100 mV per step. In each step, FPGA-QDC system reads out one file. In hardware design, 16 channels are grouped. So linearity data of 16 channels can be generated in one measurement. Totally, four measurements are carried out. 2. data processing: for each channel, there are 10 measurements. In each measurement, one can obtain mean value via its histogram. The linearity result can be plotted using all mean values. 3. data format: linearity_16 -> data from channel 1 to channel 16; linearity_32 -> data from channel 17 to channel 32;linearity_48 -> data from channel 33 to channel 48;linearity_64 -> data from channel 49 to channel 64.For example, './linearity_16/data0100mV.txt', there are 1000 rows and 16 columns, 16 columns mean 16 channels while 1000 rows mean 1000 data points.(C) detector_test_data: Fig.13, Fig.14 and Fig.15 of the paper entitled 'Design and Development of Multi-channel Front End Electronics Based on Dual-Polarity Charge-to-Digital Converter for SiPM Detector Applications' are generated from the detector test data in the files, which are detailed as follows: 1. data generation: These data are obtained from FPGA-QDC electronics system when the PET detectors are irridatted by a Na22 source. Each file has 64 columns, corresponding to 64-column data. For the first detector configuration, the electronics system is configured as positive-charge mode. For the second detector configuration, it is configured as negative-charge mode. In the last configuration, the system is in dual-polarity mode. 2. data format: data_p_charge_8by8.mat is matlab data for configuration 1; data_n_charge_8by8.mat is matlab data for configuration 2; data_np_charge_8puls8.mat is matlab data for configuration 3. 3. data processing: data_p_charge_8by8.mat and data_n_charge_8by8.mat can be processed from equation (3) and (4). data_np_charge_8puls8.mat can be processed from equation (5) and (6).
