资源简介:
Necrotizing fasciitis and myosistis are devastating infections characterized by rapid spread and high rates of morbidity and mortality. Streptococcus pyogenes (a.k.a. Group A Streptococcus, GAS) is a common cause of monomicrobial necrotizing fasciitis infections, but the molecular pathogenesis is poorly understood. To gain insight into the molecular pathogenesis of necrotizing fasciitis and myositis we used transposon directed insertion-site sequencing (TraDIS) to assess for GAS serotype M1 and M28 strain genes contributing to fitness following deep muscle inoculation in non-human primates.
