The Fusarium tricinctum species complex is a multispecies lineage of the fungal genus Fusarium. This complex has been defined by DNA sequence-based phylogenetic analysis. Although species in this complex are among the most common isolates recovered from cereals with symptoms of Fusarium head blight, the genetic diversity of pathogens within this complex has not been thoroughly investigated. Furthermore, little is known about their mycotoxin potential.
