Acetylated amino acids (1 mM) were incubated for 30 min at 37°C with 20 µM DEA/NO at ambient oxygen concentration in 100 mM phosphate buffer (pH 7.4) containing 100 µM DTPA. Product formation was determined using a chemiluminescence-based assay as described under Materials and Methods. The values represent the mean ± SEM, n = 3.
