UUO surgery does not alter serum creatinine values.

Serum creatinine values (mg/dL) from control, UUO and Hemin-treated animals. Blood samples were collected before surgery (basal) and after sacrifice (14 days). Serum creatinine values (mg/dL), expressed as average ± s.e.m., from the following groups: control, animals subjected to UUO, and animals subjected to UUO and treated with Hemin. Data indicate values from the pre-treatment protocol, when Hemin was administered before obstruction surgery, and the late treatment protocol, when the drug was administered after established fibrosis.
