This dataset accompanies the study "A simple passive sampler reveals how sampling design influences airborne eDNA detection". The experiment assessed how filter size, sampling duration, and post-collection storage impacts target-species detection sensitivity and community recovery.
Data types included:
Raw qPCR data: Replicate Ct values across multiple experiments targeting rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus), shingleback lizard (Tiliqua rugosa), and tiger (Panthera tigris).
Raw metabarcoding data: 12SV5 and Mam12 amplification sequencing products across multiple experiments
Processed FAIRe-formatted metadata: qPCR and metabarcoding metadata and processed data products encompassing multiple experiments
R script repository: Annotated analysis scripts used to process and analyse project data and produce manuscript figures and tables.
