Lycidas at The Tate Britain, London

This statue takes reference to the 1937 poem of the same name by John Milton. In this work, the subject is depicted watching bathing nymphs. A couple of copies were made after its rejection from The Royal Academy in 1905, where one bronze was shared with The Tate by Sir Michael Sadler, a collector or modern art. This object is part of Scan The World.
