Growth rate of food delivery and takeaway orders in Spain 2021

Delivery orders made to restaurants in Spain grew by more than 50 percent in the first three months of 2021 when compared to the same period of the previous year. Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, this food service segment grew significantly in 2020. That year, the total number of online transactions carried out in Spanish restaurants through bank cards surged to more than 46 million.
