Global mappings of marine sediment mud, sand, gravel contents at 0.1° resolution (nominal 11km). Sediment fractions follow the Wentworth scale: Gravel (>2mm), Sand (63 micrometers to 2mm), and Mud (<63 micrometers). Processed using Compositional Data Analysis (CoDA uses centered log-ratio transformation to properly handle ratios) and 3D inverse distance weighting interpolation (IDW3D considers horizontal distance and water depth).
