Zooplankton Chile upwelling
收藏资源简介:
This dataset was collected from three coastal stations in the Southeast Pacific: two in the northern upwelling region off Iquique (Stations T3 and T5) and one in the southern upwelling area off Concepción (Station T39). Sampling was conducted during austral summer onboard RV Cabo de Hornos (2018, cruise: LowpHox II) and RV Sonne (2023, cruise: So296/2). Hydrographic profiles were obtained using a Seabird SBE-9 plus CTD system equipped with oxygen and fluorescence sensors. Zooplankton samples were collected during both day and night using a stratified Hydrobios Multinet Midi (200 μm mesh size) across five depth strata down to 900 m. Zooplankton samples were processed using the Hydroptic ZooScan imaging system, resulting in semi-automated taxonomic classification and biomass estimation. Stable isotope ratios (δ13C and δ15N) were analyzed from lyophilized samples to infer trophic structure and carbon flow. Lipid-normalized δ13C values were corrected based on C:N ratios following Post et al. (2007).
