CAIDA UCSD Real-time Network Telescope Data (2012-01-01 to 2020-01-01)

The dataset contains near-real-time raw traces from the UCSD Network Telescope covering a fourteen-day sliding time window up to the present time. Once data slides out of the "near-real-time window", the pcap files are off-loaded to tape storage. These historical Telescope data starting from 2008 are available by additional request. These data provide opportunities to study network security-related events (DDoS attacks, worms, etc.) For more information visit http://www.caida.org/data/passive/telescope-near-real-time_dataset.xml The size of one hourly raw data pcap file is more than 75Gb. In order to enable more efficient data processing and analysis, these hourly pcap files are post-processed using Corsaro software to extract the most important packet header fields and aggregate data into FlowTuple files.
