The aim of this experiment is to use the ID16B beamline to perform in situ X Ray nano-tomography during high temperature tensile test on a commercial 2050 aluminium alloy in order to characterize the damage evolution (pore nucleation and growth). The results extracted from the 3D volumes reconstructed will be used to have a better understanding of the phenomenon and feed current models to improve the hot-rolling process of thick aluminium plates.
