Ectopic expression of wax ester synthase under a wood-specific promoter enhances cell wall production and wood hydrophobicity

We studied growth, biomass, photosynthesis, wood properties and lipids in P. x canescens wildtype and transgenic lines. The transgenic lines expressed a jojoba wax ester synthase under the DX15 promoter. The DX15 promoter is specific to wood. The plants were under greenhouse conditions. All abbreviations are explained in a readme sheet coming with the data folder.
