Statue of Balthazar

Material: Stone. Accession no.: HCM 032. Current location: [The Hunt Museum](https://www.huntmuseum.com/), [Limerick](https://www.geonames.org/7778675/limerick-city.html). A figure sculpture of [Balthasar](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balthazar_(magus)) (one of the Magi, apparently buried in [Cologne](https://www.geonames.org/3024280/cologne.html)). There are still traces of the original [polychrome](http://vocab.getty.edu/page/aat/300252261) remaining. The figure is carved as wearing a turban, a belted tunic and breeches.
