Comparative Transcriptomics of Metabolites in Wild and Cultivated Pinellia ternata

As a traditional Chinese medicine used to treat cough, Pinellia ternata (PT) has been utilized for thousands of years. Researches focused on the genetic makeup underlying the differences of wild and cultivated PT are rare. We report the first comparativetranscriptome analysis between wild and cultivated PT at multiple developmental stage. The experiment produced robust resources for future investigationson the regulation of active ingredients in Pinellia ternata and Araceae and subserve to the cultivation and clinical use of Pinellia ternata
