The Eurasian spruce bark beetle Ips typographus is known devasting pest for Picea abies, a common conifer in Europe. In this study, we performed aggregation pheromone biosynthesis and its underlying pathway analysis from Ips typographus, after Juvenile hormone (JH III) induction. The targeted tissue was gut tissue from male and female beetle after JHIII induction. Candidate genes for pheromone biosynthesis from both the sexes were collectively reported in this transcriptome. Our data provide evidence for the involvement of different gene families in pheromone and its precursor's biosynthesis after JHIII induction in I. typographus.
