The seeds of A. thaliana were surface sterilized using sodium hypochlorite for 2 min, and then washed five times in sterile double distilled water. After vernalization treatment for 2 days, seeds were grown in sterile modified Murashige and Skoog mediums at with16-h-light/8-h-dark cyclies. Then the seedlings were transferred to the MS medium with tryptophan for pretreatment. Finally, non- and pre-treatment seedlings were transferred to MS mediums with cadmium, respectively.
