Data from: Revisiting Climate-Driven Low-Degree Spherical Harmonic Variations through the Improved Reconstruction of Hydrospheric and Cryospheric Mass Redistributions

The dataset provides fingerprint approach (FPA) reconstructions of J2, chi1, and chi2 signals driven by climate-related mass redistribution in the hydrosphere and cryosphere. It includes reconstructed component time series for terrestrial water storage (TWS), the Greenland Ice Sheet (GrIS), the Antarctic Ice Sheet (AIS), and mountain glaciers (MG), as well as the corresponding residual-observed benchmark (ResOBS) series used for validation. In addition, it also provides regional (aggregated) ice-sheet contributions to J2, chi1, and chi2, with GrIS reported for 8 sectors (Fig. 2a: regions 1–8) and AIS reported for EAIS, WAIS, and the Antarctic Peninsula (Fig. 2b).
