Lamellibrachia satsuma is a vestimentiferan tubeworm that was first discovered in low-temperature fumaroles at the Kagoshima Bay. Later this tubeworm species was observed at Nankai Trough and at Northern Mariana Arc. The tubeworm accommodates chemoautotrophic symbiotic Gammaproteobacteria inside its trophosome. The symbiont inside the trophosome provides nutrition to the tubeworm by oxidizing sulfur and fixing CO2 autotrophically. To date, tubeworm symbiont genomes sequenced are not complete. In this study, we have used both long-read and short-read sequencing methods to achieve the complete genome of the symbiont.
