The data set is associated to the publication "No complementarity no gain - Net diversity effects on tree productivity occur once complementarity emerges during early stand development" by Urgoiti, Messier, Keeton, Reich, Gravel and Paquette. It provides data regarding the basal area at species level per plot and year from IDENT experiment of Montreal from 2009 to 2019. Information about block, plot and species richness is also given.
