VPRS 12240 Register of Victorian Pipelines Commission Debentures

The Victorian Pipelines Commission was established by the Victorian Pipelines Commission Act 1966 to administer the operation of gas pipelines in Victoria. To achieve this, the Commission was entitled by Section 13 of the Act to raise funds for major projects by borrowing money from financial institutions, and issuing Government debentures as security for such loans. Correspondence relating to these loans can be found in VPRS 1207 General Correspondence Files, Annual Single Number System.This series registers such loans, providing the following details:Loan provider (name of financial institution)Amount borrowedDate of agreementRegistered correspondence number.Interest payableSubsequent to each registration, a journal of repayments provides detail of each periodical loan repayment.
