资源简介:
Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) is a common pathogen in hospitals and even in communities outside hospital settings. It is currently considered a challenge to control worldwide since it causes infections ranging from mild to severe, many of which are difficult to treat due to their resistance to multiple antibiotics and the transport of multiple virulence factors. In order to provide an overview of strains from a hospital setting in Mexico, 101 clinical isolates from 3 hospitals in Mexico City (CDMX), 39 methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA), and 62 methicillin-sensitive S. aureus methicillin (MSSA) have been studied. The genotypic characteristics of predominant and sporadic MRSA and MSSA strains were identified using a pangenomic approach and genotyping of known markers, such as spa type, staphylococcal chromosome cassette mec (SCCmec) typing, multilocus sequence typing (MLST), and their clonal complex (CC).
