Aiming to contribute to biogeographical studies and a better comprehension of edaphic variability and soil-vegetation relationship in the semiarid region of Brazil, we produced a database of 14 topsoil attributes. We used data from soil maps of the RADAMBRASIL Project (1/1,000,000) to associate the soil profiles with the mapping units and spatialize the A horizon (topsoil) attributes in a raster grid.
