Antonio Galateo and the Eulogy of Ferdinand the Catholic. Tiles for the construction of a myth. The study, through a philological and literary-historical investigation, allows us to reconstruct the ethical-political path taken by Antonio Galateo in the affirmation of the myth of Ferdinand the Catholic, when the Spanish Crown was asserting itself in the Mediterranean with its North African campaigns, at the time of the great geographical explorations. At the end of the study, the letter is published in critical edition.
