The inventory of social housing rentals (Répertoire des logements locatifs des bailleurs sociaux — RPLS, formerly known as Répertoire du Parc Locatif Social) aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the social housing stock managed by these landlords as of January 1st of any given year. It is populated using information submitted by social landlords, for whom providing annual data updates to the registry is mandatory. The detailed, housing-unit-level data extracted from this registry offers a precise view of the social housing stock. It includes information on location, technical characteristics of the units (construction type, number of rooms, floor area), financing methods, and energy performance certificates (EPC/DPE). The file provided here corresponds to the annual open data extraction. It allows for the analysis of social housing supply across various geographical scales (region, department, intercommunal structures/EPCI, municipality) and tracks changes in occupancy conditions and housing comfort over time. In accordance with public data dissemination rules, certain information is anonymized or aggregated to protect tenants' privacy and prevent the precise identification of the households occupying these units.
