Blood samples were collected from 8 HIV infected individuals from India. Genomic DNA and viral RNA was isolated from PBMCs and blood plasma respectively. Viral RNA was reverse transcribed to obtain cDNA. gp41 region (~1kb) was PCR amplified from both genomic DNA and cDNA. The PCR products were sequenced on Illumina miseq platform.
