Avian leukosis viruses (ALVs) can cause immunosuppression in avian species, but there are no effective vaccines or treatments. Bursin-like-peptide (BLP) has previously been shown to inhibit the proliferation of the ALV strain FJ15HT0 in chickens, but the mechanism is unclear. In this study, we established an artificial model of ALV-FJ15HT0 infection in chickens and administered BLP through subcutaneous injection, and dynamically tracked and analyzed the effect of BLP and ALV-FJ15HT0 on gene expression of the hosts by Bursa of Fabricious (BF) transcriptome sequencing.
