Quality appraisal matrices (MMAT, CASP, JBI) for SRL–Usability systematic review (2019–2025)

This dataset contains the full quality appraisal matrices used in the PRISMA 2020–based systematic review on self-regulated learning (SRL) and digital learning platform usability in higher education (2019–2025). The Excel file includes study-level assessments using three established tools: the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool (MMAT), the Critical Appraisal Skills Programme (CASP) checklists and the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) checklists, applied to all 102 included studies. For each study, the file reports the appraisal items, ratings and summary judgements, along with basic bibliographic identifiers (e.g., author, year, country, study design). These matrices provide transparency on the methodological quality of the evidence base and can be reused for secondary analyses, methodological reviews or replication of the systematic review.
