Expanding Frontiers of Gambierdiscus in a Changing Ocean: Dataset

This dataset supports a systematic review of the benthic dinoflagellate genus Gambierdiscus published between 2015 and 2026. It compiles curated information from the literature on cultured strains, species identity, geographic origin, growth conditions, growth rates, maximum cell yields, toxin detection methods and reported toxin profiles. The database was assembled following a PRISMA 2020-based literature screening and is intended to support future studies on Gambierdiscus biodiversity, ecophysiology, cultivation, toxin production and ciguatera risk assessment.
