IgE and IgG1 antibody responses were induced by damaging the epithelial barrier of the skin. This was achieved by exposure to a common environmental xenobiotic and carcinogen, 7,12-Dimethylbenz[a]anthracene (DMBA). Activated B cells were FACS sorted following this epithelial damage response and the immunoglobulin heavy chain repertoires analyzed using long-read, high-throughput sequencing.
