The transcriptome of Pseudochloris wilhelmii strain SAG 55.87 was sequenced in this study. Total RNA was isolated from a 31-day-old axenic culture of P. wilhelmii using an NEB Monarch Total RNA Miniprep Kit. Next, ribosomal RNA (rRNA) was depleted from the total RNA using an Invitrogen RiboMinus Plant Kit for RNA-Seq. Finally, the rRNA-depleted RNA sample was subjected to 100-bp paired-end sequencing on the Illumina HiSeq2500 platform.
