TheGlobalPlantoEndTB2018-2022isacostedplanandroadmapforaconcertedresponsetotuberculosis(TB),alignedwiththeUnitedNations(UN)PoliticalDeclarationonTB.ItprovidesanestimateoftheresourcesneededtoachievethetargetsandcommitmentssetattheUNHigh-LevelMeeting(UNHLM)onTBinSeptember2018.Itprovidesanestimatefortheresourcesneededtoachievethesetargetsby2022.TheupdatedGlobalPlanfor2018-2022isdeliberatelyalignedtothetimeframeoftheUNHLMtargets,makingitatoolforadvocacy,resourcemobilization,civilsociety,andcommunityempowermentandaccountabilityontheUNHLMtargetsandcommitments.ItiscenteredonstrongpoliticalleadershiptoachievetheUNHLMtargetsandcommitments.ItbreaksdowntheglobaltargetsofUNHLMintocountrysharesinordertoensurethatcountriesdeliverontheircommitmentsandcollectively,theworldreachestheagreedtargetsItprovidesanestimateoftheresourcesneededtoachievetheUNHLMTBtargetsandcommitments,bothforTBcareandprevention,andforresearchintonewtools.Ithighlightstheneedforarights-based,people-centeredapproachcommunity-basedandgender-responsiveTBservicesbased.
