Long term demographic data of southern Indian Ocean seabirds and seals

The French Antarctic Territories (TAAF), with 4 permanent bases constitute a unique setting of breeding sites for top predators such as seabirds and seals because they are part of 3 marine biomes, subtropical, subAntarctic and Antarctic waters. Long term studies have been started in the late 1950s, with
continuous records of population sizes and demographic parameters (breeding success, fecundity, breeding frequency, age specific survival and recruitment) since then. All these information are today centralised in a long term database on the demography of 28 species of top predators based at the CEB Chizé laboratory.
