资源简介:
High caloric regimen affects brain functions leading to metabolic dysfunction and obesity and represents a risk factor for mental illness and dementia. To better understand the mechanisms underlying this process, we evaluated the effects of a prolonged exposure to high fat diet on cerebral glucose metabolism, inflammation, neuronal plasticity and transcriptome changes. We used Clariom S microarrays on GeneChip® Scanner 3000 7G to detect gene expression changes during high fat diet regimen inducing metabolic syndrome in young/adult male and female wt mice in anterior cortex and cerebellar region WT C57Bl/6J mouse strain was selected as prone to obesity during adult life. Both male and female mice were subjected to prolonged high fat diet regimen starting from 4/5 weeks old and sacrificed after 33 weeks of diet for RNA extraction and gene expression analysis. Sex-difference and gene expression changes among two high fat diet vs controls were evaluated in anterior cortex and cerebellar region
