Number of common mynas observed on each zone (10m concentric circles from the experimenter) at each point-count, both before and after a distress call playback took place. <br><br>See details of methods in Article and Supplementary materials : https://doi.org/10.1007/s10530-018-1798-9<br><br><b>region</b> - Region where sampling took place : "larger Sydney" or "larger Canberra"<br><b>locality</b> - Localities of different trapping pressures were sampled in each region<br><b>trap_pressure</b> - Trapping pressure of the locality, either high (&gt;10 mynas removed per year per 10,000 inhabitants) or low. <br><b>area</b> - sampling area (2x2km zone)<br><b>plot</b> - point-count plot (50m circle)<br><b>zone</b> - 10m wide concentric circles from the centre of the plot: z0 (0 to 10m from centre), z1 (10 to 20m), z2 (20 to 30m), z3 (30 to 40m), z4 (40 to 50m), z5 (50m and beyond)<br><b>day</b> - day where the sampling took place (day 1 = 01/06/2012)<br><b>season</b> - breed (beginning of breeding period, September to October), non-b (before the breeding period, June to September)<br><b>habitat</b> - URBAN (high density housing and commercial and industrial areas), RESID (residential areas, low rise buildings with gardens), PARK (wooded and open parkland). Defined by the level of coverage of the plot.<br><b>suntime</b> - time to sunset in hours<br><b>temp</b> - temperature observed during the closest measurement (celsius degrees)<br><b>seen.before</b> - number of mynas observed before the playback in each zone of each plots<br><b>seen.after</b> - number of mynas observed during and after the playback in each zone of each plot<br> <br>
