Molecular characteristics (resistance, virulence and genetic relatedness) of S. aureus collected from South African private and public clinical settings

This dataset describes the Multiplex polymerase chain (M-PCR) assay and whole-genome sequencing (WGS) results for the detected genes. The data also describes detailed antimicrobial susceptibilty (AST) results as well as demographic information from which the isolates were collected. The figures summarises the overall results for the study.
