资源简介:
This video pair documents a student’s progress with a fundamental building block of piano technique: the two-note slur. The first clip captures the common hurdle of achieving a true <i>cantabile (</i>singing) legato. Despite a brisk tempo, the notes lack a sense of cohesive musical connection. The touch is somewhat abrupt; the fingers strike the keys in an isolated, robotic fashion, resulting in a sound that feels dry and mechanical rather than phrased. The second video—recorded just one week later—reveals tangible progress in gestural phrasing. The student has begun to integrate more gravity (arm weight) into the movement, employing a much more controlled "landing" on the first note and a deliberate "float-off" on the second. While motor control is still being refined, the comparison shows a gradual transition from initial rigidity toward a more supple, connected, and musical sound. These videos form part of a broader research project investigating the development of coordinated movement in piano performance, with applications in piano pedagogy, injury prevention, and performance enhancement.
